• Three horseshoes
TYPE: DWELLING STATUS: RIBA STAGES 1-4 ROLE: LEAD ARCHITECT The initial approach was to retain the front element of a pub which has been closed for a few years and an application was put in for a change of use to dwelling house. It came to light that the structure of the building was unstable which led to demolition. A design was produced to reflect the original building with a two-storey gable end structure at the rear slightly larger than the original with a one storey flat roof element inside the L shape of the building. The new build consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large open kitchen and dining area with lounge at the front and a snug room at the rear with French doors opening onto the long thin garden where a new garage and storeroom is to be at the far end. Planning and Building Regulations were approved.
