Demolition of existing garage to make way for single storey extension to create open plan kitchen and lounge area with the existing bungalow reconfigured to create additional bedrooms and snug area.

An initial design for the extension was presented to local planners with a mezzanine floor about the kitchen this was rejected due to it not being subservient to the original bungalow.

The design was then revised with a single storey design on a larger footprint at a lower level with a large, glazed area with sliding doors in opposite directions facing the garden which gives the feeling of being outside all year round.

Planning and Building Regulations were approved.
