Ben is a chartered architect with a master’s degree from University of Nottingham in Architecture. In his 15 years’ experience Ben has honed his skills in architectural design at Ruddle Wilkinson (Peterborough), Capita Architecture (UK), once one of the UK's biggest architectural practices, Marchini Curran (Nottingham), more recently self-employed under Ben Stephens Architect. Ben has a wide experience of involvement in a diversity of building and landscape projects:
Mixed use development in North London, including Arts Centre (two theatres), College with Dance Studio, Residential, Leisure, Retail and Transport facilities - £40m.
IKEA City Centre Store in Coventry, the first in a city centre, which faced greater challenges than a standard store - £40m.
Daventry town centre re-development consisting of retail and public buildings, including a new library.
Bespoke house extensions.
Experience in arts + culture, commercial, education, master planning, retail, sports + leisure and transport projects.
Throughout his career, Ben's emphasis has been on working closely with clients to achieve cost-effective, sustainable designs, which maximise space, light and beauty to meet their requirements.
